Sch. Catherine out of Gloucester dory trawling for Haddock on Georges Bank, Capt. Archie MacLeod from a 1919 sketch. She was 103' knockabout schooner built in Essex by Arthur D. Story in 1915. She went for Halibut summers and for Haddock in Winter. Lost on Bald Rock Shoal, Canso, NS in December, 1933. The captain and crew of 29 men landed in Canso
In this painting the last fory is coming alongside to be swung aboard while the crew baits and re-coils the trawl lines and the captain's Newfoundland dog looks on.
