Description
Superior leaving Gloucester Harbors' Ten Pound Island Lighthouse on her first fishing trip after being returned to the Dahlmer family after 3 years service in WW-II. She was drafted into US Navy service several months after Pearl Harbor. Attached to the North Atlantic Sea Defense Command she served anti-submarine patrol and supplied Allied weather stations on the coasts of Greenland and Newfoundland. She was launched by Arthur D. Story in Essex, Ma for Capt. Dahlmer in 1932.
