PRIVATEERS OF THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION

WELCOME ALL MARITIME ARTISTS Maritime artist Bill Hubbard announces a new GROUP on Fine Art America which will depict Privateers and ships of the navies of the Colonial American States as well as the ships of other countries with which they fought. It is for your paintings and sketches of those ships and their naval action at sea during the Revolutionary War and the War of 1812. The ships should be painted in your selected media or sketched as near accurate as possible with what data is available and the descriptions of their actions is as commonly accepted. Studies of the ships and naval fortifications may be old sketches, post cards and historic descriptions as well as photos of restored ships. Photographs will not be accepted to this group. Schooner Painting To Rutland, Mass.

Melbourne, FL - Jan.28, 2013 Bill Hubbard sold a Fine Art Print of his painting, "My Ship Lies Awaiting in the Harbor" The painting is of a fishing schooner of the type used in the early 1900's out of America's oldest fishing port, Gloucester, Massachusetts. Bill grew up and studied art in Gloucester. His granfather, great grandfather and a number of uncles were steamer and fishing captains out of that port and on the Great Lakes. He and his wife, Therese A. Kraemer live and produce their artwork in Melbourne, Florida where Bill is a Director of the Strawbridge Art League. He specializes in seascapes and marine paintings of early fishing vessels in the media of Acrylic, Pen & Ink. Hubbard Elected To Board Of Art League

Melbourne, FL - December 18th, 2012

Bill Hubbard has been elected to the Board of Directors of Strawbridge Art League in Melbourne, Florida. Bill paints in the media of Acrylics Pen and Ink and specializes in Marine art and seascapes. He is also a member of the Leagues' Gallery Committee. He regularly exhibets at the Strawbridge Art Leagues' gallery at the Henegar Center, New Haven Ave., Melbourne. Bill grew up in the seaport art colony of Gloucester, Mass. He was taught by Margaret Taylor and Robert Benham and also painted with Emil A. Gruppe. He lived on Cape Cod for four years before moving to Florida in 2006. There we was influenced greatly by the watercolorist, Anton Stetzko. He and his wife, Therese A. Kraemer live in Melbourne, FL
